We require a DTD for full suits. This is how we make your custom fit bodysuit just for you! This is why it is so important to make it correctly. We need them towards the start of your project not at the beginning just in case you experience body changes.
Items
-Scissors: recommend trauma scissors
-Papertowels
-Duct tape: Nashua is best
-Painter's jumpsuit
Prep
- You cannot do this alone, you will need at least one friend to help. More the merrier
-Wear clothing you're comfortable with getting accidently snipped or undergarments you feel the same about.
-Start making 3-6 in strips of tape you you can start quicker.
Step: 1
After putting on your jumpsuit start with taping your wrists and ankles.
Do not mummy wrap. This will cut off circulation. NOT GOOD. Small strips only.
This helps keep the sleeves and legs from shifting up. You can place paper towel here to if too short.
Step: 2
Next you'll want to start at the base of the legs/crotch. Almost like making duct tape bikini.
You'll want to move down the legs and meet at our starting point.
Do a similar process for the armpit to your wrists. Then finish with the torso!
Step: 3
Please mark your beltline, and knees/elbows.
Before cutting the DTD off make lines where you plan to cut. Then make dashes as shown so it can be taped back easily.
Recommended to cut up the top of the arm, side of legs, and down back of torso.
Finished!
Notes: During the process you end up having awkward armpit or lowered crotch. Before you cut it off your body you can cut open the area put paper towels and tape. We want it very close to your body shape so we can properly make your DTD.
